There are rules and regulations which govern how companies can use and retain your data. I am not exempt from those rules and I am therefore registered with the ICO, as a sole trader, to collect and hold the relevant data that enables me to work with you to create a ceremony.

If you have contacted me to enquire about a celebrant led service, I will hold your contact details (name, phone number and email and/or postal address) and any relevant information about the type of service you have requested, notes of our discussions and confirmation of decisions made, until I have performed your ceremony for you.  I will ask you to sign and GDPR information retention agreement when you book.

Your information is not shared with any third parties unless you give me express permission to do so – for example, if I need to liaise with a venue or family and friends contributing to your ceremony.

After your ceremony I will securely retain your contact details and a copy of the final approved script in a password protected file, accessible only by me, but I will destroy all my notes from our meetings and drafts of your ceremony within 7 days.

Should you decide not to use my services then your contact data will be deleted from my files within 3 months of your initial enquiry.
