Peace Of Mind

Insurance and Training

I hold public liability (£5m) and professional indemnity (£1m) insurance through my membership of the professional body – ‘The Association of Independent Celebrants’. I hold the nationally recognised Certificate of Civil Celebrancy, awarded by the NOCN.

Why you can rely on me…

My role as an independent celebrant is to work with you to create meaningful and heartfelt ceremonies, the memories of which will last you, and your family and friends, a lifetime.

My previous working life involved bringing the past to life in a heritage setting as the manager of an historic house and wedding venue. I have spent a lifetime telling stories to make connections with people and places across the generations – in museums, archaeological sites and in ancient buildings. I have 35+ years of experience engaging with people of all ages and backgrounds in large gatherings or small groups and even organising and hosting royal visits!

It matters to me to get everything absolutely right for your special ceremony. I have a keen eye for detail and undertake careful preparation and planning to ensure that everything is perfect, because anything less than the best is not good enough for me, or for you.

I combine this meticulous approach with a love for sharing special moments with people, along with a warm, empathetic and compassionate nature (and a well – developed sense of fun where appropriate!), to create beautiful ceremonies that are just for you, and only you.

You can relax because I will have visited the venue in advance to make sure that nothing is left to chance. On the day, for all types of ceremonies, I arrive well before your family and friends and am there to meet and greet them, as well as making sure that everything is ready for your arrival. Years of event management means that I am always on top of all the details.

It is always an absolute privilege to walk part of your journey with you and share your milestones in life – it is an honour I never take for granted.
